photosynthesis is a physio-chemical process by which green plants and algae makes carbohydrate molecules for energy. CO2 from air , water and other nutrients from soil , sunlight captured with the help of green pigment called chlorophyll are the raw materials for the process.oxygen and some amount of water are released as  waste product.this process is the most essential process on the planet since this is the main energy source for the rest of the organisms.all organisms are either directly or indirectly dependent on plants for food.
