Guru Amar Das ji was born in 1479, after 10 years birth of Guru Nanak who was the Sikh Guru and founder of Sikh faith.

Guru Amar Das ji  was the eldest son of Sri Tej Bhan Ji,who was a farmer and trader and hus mother was Mata Lachmi Ji.She was devotee mother.

• He established the city of Govindal on the bank of Rivers Beas in 1552 AD.
