TISCO's full form is Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited which has now been changed into Tata Steel. TISCO was set up on the banks of rivers Subarnarekha or Swarnarekha and Kharkhai. TISCO was set up in an industrial township Jamshedpur which is also known as Tata Nagar. It was set up in the year of 1912.

TISCO stood for Tata Iron and Steel Company and is a multinational steel making Indian company, with their headquarters in Maharashtra, founded by Jamshetji Tata. The company is called as Tata Steel Limited today.
