Answer:

Triple fusion is a part of double fertilisation that takes place in angiosperms. It is defined as the fusion among a male gamete and two polar nuclei resulting in the formation of the endosperm nucleus which eventually forms the endosperm.

In double fertilisation, two male gametes are involved where one of them fuses with the female gamete resulting in the formation of a zygote which eventually forms the seed.

On the other hand, the other male gamete fuses with the secondary nucleus present in the embryo sac to bring about the formation of the endosperm. This entire process is termed as double fertilization as it involves two separate sets of fertilisation.
