Palampur is a small village in which 450 families living together. The main occupation of the people is agricultural but also some non-form activities are also practiced by the people such as dairy, transport etc. Palampur is well connected to the roads and towns such as Raiganj.

Palampur is well connected with neighbouring villages and towns. An all weather road connects the village to Raiganj and further on the nearest small town of shahpur. There are 450 families out of then 80 families are upper caste.
