War of Plassey
It was fought in 1757 by Siraj-ud-Daulah and Robert Clive. When Siraj-ud-Daylah's small kingdom was financially exploited by getting no revenues from the Company for trade, he attacked the Company with his army. When Robert Clive got informed about this, he took his army from Mysore and defeated Siraj-ud-Daulah. The main reason for his defeat was of his army commander Mir Jafar. Robert Clive bribed Mir Jafar of making him the Nawab after Siraj-ud-Daulah's defeat. Thus Siraj-ud-Daulah got defeated and was killed.
