Water pollution is caused by humans only.It is caused due to releasing of chemicals of factories in to the water bodies.It can be harmful.It is also caused due to the waste thrown by humans and also by doing household chores like washing clothes and bathing domestic animals.It can cause harm to the marine or aquatic animals .They may die .

Explanation:

We know that there is more use of pesticides and fertilizers in our farms which gets dissolved in water. When these are sprayed on plants, some percentage of these substances are washed into the water bodies. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies such as lakes, rivers, ocean and groundwater caused by human activities, which can be harmful organisms and plants that live in these water bodies. It includes dumping of sewage from towns and cities and the wastes from the factories into rivers or lakes. Apart from this, some industries use water for cooling and return the hot water into the nearby lakes or rivers. This changes the temperature of the rivers or lakes, thereby affecting the various life forms found in the water bodies and also the dams constructed by us.
