Western Disturbance is a frequently used terminology to describe weather in the Indian sub-continent.
They have impact on Indian monsoon cycle which in turns effects the agriculture yield .

WDs is an extratropical storm originating in the Mediterranean region that brings sudden winter rain to the northwestern parts of the Indian subcontinent. It is a non-monsoonal precipitation pattern driven by the westerlies.

* It cause low moderate rainfall in north india.

* By this rain fall wheat crop is boon in rabi season .
