Woman has always suffered under the tyranny  of man made laws. she has always played a second fiddle to man . Centuries of slavery and illiteracy in India have made her a puppet  a toy in the hands of man she is  never welcome as a daughter 
her birth throws the whole family into disappointment as a  wife she is the play thing of her husband he controls all her movement    
the constitution of India has given the right to vote to women also in other countries they had to fight for longer even for this right Switzerland gave this right to women only in 1973 the right to vote entities them half the voice in the formation of the country
we are now fully alive to the need of imparting education to women we have realized
 that illiterate and ignorant women cannot be source of strength to the country   the no. of schools and colleges for women show that we are attaching importance to female education she has excelled man in this field all merit positions are now bagged by her 
today she is no longer a cattle... she has a bright future she has developed intelligence .

she enjoys in our society a status of equality.
