abscission is the processes that is held at certain plants sites like :at leaves fruits bud etc.

reduction in sunlight leads to the reduction of chlorophyll. in the leaf there is reduction in photosynthesis process, this trigger the abscission of leaves. The actual process occurs when the weaker cells near the petiole are pushed off by the stronger cells beneath them

due to this wilting or abcission happens in leave

similarly process is defined for fruits abscission.
