Thermal stress effecting the human body, is caused because of exposure to temperature and humidity. It can lead to immediate health effects or may result in long-term health effects.
Immediate effects may be in the form of heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat stroke etc. Symptoms of thermal stress should be recognised early and the required first aid administered. Work places should spot the cause of thermal stress and take immediate action to prevent it.
