On one autumn day, he went up the Catskills Mountain with his dog and he hurried to help a small man carrying a heavy keg and when they reached to field, someone gave him a tasty drink. He fell into a deep sleep and when he woke up hos beard was grown afoot. When he returned to his village, he saw that new buildings stood high. He realized that he had slept through the American Revolution. Luckily, he found his daughter. She told her that her mother died due to loneliness. But no one believed in Rip's story.
