A class without a teacher is a happy occasion for the students. The students are free to do anything in the class. Some students start making mischief. One or two of them pick up a piece of chalk and begin to make cartoons on the black-board. It creates a roar of laughter in the class-room. Those who are serious in studies open their books. They begin to solve sums or do their home task. Some make paper missiles and throw about in the class. There are others who jump on tables and shout at each other. Sometimes they even start quarreling and fighting. No doubt there is a monitor in the class. Nobody listens to him. Some students have nothing to do. They feel bored. They open their lunch boxes and eat up their food. If the teacher of the next class happens to come there, all become quiet. The moment he goes away, they resume their mischief. As soon as the bell goes, the free period comes to an end. They begin to wait for the teacher of the next period.
