:Labour is the key to succeed in life. It is a basic thing required to be successful in life. We cannot imagine success or achievement in life without labour. We dream, desire, but it is the labour which turns our dreams into reality.
The journey of human civilization highlights the importance of labour. It is his labour which brought him out of Stone Age to the computer age. It is the story of the success of labour. Often we find the work hard and unpleasant, but we have to do it. We have no way except for hard labour to realise our dream. Even animals have to toil to get food. Labour is indispensable to life. Success in life without labour is almost impossible.
The fruit of labour is very sweet. It gives satisfaction. It brings inner pleasure. It develops self-confidence. Self-confidence constitutes an important part of success in life. Labour brings fame and wealth also. It brings prosperity. It turns a life of rags to that of riches. The successful story of great corporate giants like L.N. Mittal, Dhirubhai Ambani, etc. is woven with the thread of labour. Great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru earned name and fame only because they laboured hard. They never shirked work. They abandoned their rest and comfort for the society and made their names immortal in history.
Labour not only gives us pleasure, it also keeps us engaged and healthy. It helps to make us fit and active. It is a popular saying, “A brain is devil’s workshop.” When a man is idle he indulges in unproductive activities. It leads him to frustration. He becomes pessimistic. He becomes fatalist. His personality development is adversely affected. He does nothing but aspires for good result. We all know that God helps those who help themselves. He expects us to be laborious. Only then he comes to our help. He doesn’t help an idle man.
Nothing is impossible for a laborious man. It is the hard labour of man which helped him in landing on the moon. All scientific inventions and discoveries owe their success to labour. Even a bird has to look for its food. Mighty lion has to hunt his prey to satiate his hunger. To say, every work demands a great deal of labour.
So, we should cultivate a habit of labour right from early age. We should be firm, committed and consistent in our efforts. Nothing is going to stop success to happen when a proper amount of labour has been put into it. It is bound to come to you.
