Preparations for the event had started a week ago. On the appointed day, our principal formally declared the day open at 10 am. The games included football and basketball matches, races, jumps and other track events. I took part in the 50 m and 100 m races and received a silver cup in the former. The team from my class won the relay race.

The 100 m race, which was very exciting, was won by my friend Mansoor. My other friend Rajat, secured the first position in the long jump. But my classmate Anish fell and injured himself during high jump.
The event came to a close with the distribution of prizes, which were given away by our principal. The following day was declared holiday by our principal. Sports is one such activity which helps us in maintaining a proper physique and a positive mentality.

First our chief guest lightning the candle which indicates that the starting of the ceremony. participants are getting ready to participate. Then the March past done by the participants, beating the drums and singing the school songs. this events include racing,jumping and etc.. The ceremony begins.. I took part in the race of 50m and 100m. then the prize distribution takes place. At last the refreshments take place. this ceremony goes for 3hours that from 9:00 to 12:00 am. then all the participants went home with their parents....
