Children’s day is celebrated on 14th November every year in India. The day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was the 1st Prime Minister of India. He used to love the children very much and would understand very well that the children’s of today will be the future of this India. Jawaharlal Nehru is known as the ‘Chacha Nehru’. To pay him a tribute, his birth anniversary was started celebrating as children’s day since 1956. 14th November is celebrated in all school, colleges by remembering this great person of Indian history. In this day a child is given respect and make them understand how they are valuable for our country. The teacher wishes for a better future of the children’s, and provide us with a lunch or dinner party and lots of chocolate.
Some cultural programs are also arranged by the teachers for the students. They distribute prizes to the winner of the program. One of the great reason behind the importance of this day is that children’s in our country are forced for hard labour for long hours at very little pay. They have not accessed to the modern education that’s why they remain backward. They need to raise their status which is possible when every Indian citizen would understand their responsibility. By making this day special it’s possible to give a message to all Indian citizens that today’s children’s are the future of tomorrow. So to prepare a better India, Indian need to prepare a better future of the children’s.
