write a short scene with dialogues that show tension between two characters choose any context or story
Answers
Explanation:
"Hey, Peter. What's that?"
Peter raises his index finger to his lips and points at his IPod. "I don't want to miss anything."
"What is it?"
Eyes closed, he tilts his head back to rest against the wall that braces his back.
Anna raises her voice. "Did you hear me?"
He opens his eyes only to narrow them at her. "Go away."
"I want to listen."
"Beat it, I said."
This dialogue could be improved, but Peter's frustrated desire for quiet creates tension between the characters. Underlying that is the reader's desire to understand the relationship between Peter and Anna. Are they siblings? If so, why does he act as he does?
Not knowing creates tension that will last until the reader has answers. Readers will also react to what they know about the characters. Peter's response to Anna lacks generosity, so readers don't know yet whether he is a sympathetic character or a villain. They need more information, and that need creates another thread of uncertainty and tension.
Answer:
Harith and Nana met again after 15 years. They were both surprised to see each other. They used to be best friends as kids but with time, circumstances changed and they had a huge misunderstanding which led to a fight, eventually breaking the bond. So, there they were, after 15 years, in the same playground they spent their entire childhood.
Harith: Hi. I was not expecting to see you.
Nana: Yeah, same. What are you doing here?
Harith: Could have just asked how am I?
Nana: Yes, like you did.
Harith: Never mind! I am here because Irithel called me and requested me to come.
Nana: That is exactly what she said.
Harith: I did not mean to bother you.
Nana: You did not bother me.
Harith: But it seemed to me that you are bothered.
Nana: Well, next time, do not jump to conclusions. That is not what one with a sane mind should do.
Harith: Let's just sit silently and wait for Irithel to come.
Nana: Seems like a plan to me, but I will sit there
Harith: Behind the swing, I remember.
Nana: Yes, let's wait for her and see what important thing she wanted to talk about.
