Water Pollution and Its Effects on the Environment
Water is probably the most important resource we as people have. Humans can survive without food for several weeks, but without water we would die in less than a week. On a slightly less dramatic note, millions of liters of water are needed every day worldwide for washing, irrigating crops, and cooling industrial processes, not to mention leisure industries such as swimming pools and water-sports centers. Despite our dependence on water, we use it as a dumping ground for all sorts of waste, and do very little to protect the water supplies we have.
Water pollution is ultimately going to be harmful to the man himself - the reason behind this is that they are the major source of sustainability lifestyle support to the major part of mankind.
EXPLANATION-
The human race is dependents on mother nature to fulfill his all needs for food, water, and shelter.
Water is one of the important resources used by every living being daily to quench thirst and for many other tasks.
But, nowadays, human being indulges in the process of wasting water more to use to satisfy their needs. We don't understand that man uses underground water mostly. The underground water is pumped out with the help of hand pumps or machinery known as water motors.
The surface water refers to the water bodies in the form of the rivers, sea, ocean, ponds, and lakes. These water are naturally found on the earth's surface. But, these water are not refined to use directly by human kinds.
Whereas the undergrowth bodies are the resources found underneath the earth's surface. Where we as a society are not aware of the ways we are wasting our precious water resources. We let open the taps while washing hands, we use the shower to bath instead of a tub, etc. We had implanted various shower in crossroads but we forget how these basis daily life activities wastewater.
Hence, man usage depends on the geographical area, allocation of water bodies as well as temporal conditions.
Whereas; we had forgotten it and our reckless usage of its resources has polluted it.
Specifically, when we talk about water bodies; it has been polluted to the extent that it turned it into a slow poison.
The dumping amount of plastic waste and chemical waste from industry has been increased rapidly that its ecological balance has been depleted.
The resources we opt form Marin life like seafood, water, and medicinal properties have been destroyed at the limit to revert the action.
Due to all of these, the increment on disease and rare species has been depleted.
Conclusion-
Hence, this action affects humankind on a large scale that is irreversible.
