India celebrates Children’s Day on 14th November every year as a tribute to our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru, fondly called Chacha Nehru, was born on November 14, 1889 — shared an affectionate bond with children.

Nehru's love for children was abundant thus he advocated children to have fulfilled childhood. He also stood up for children’s education.On this special day, schools across the country conduct various programs such as drama, speech, fancy dress competition etc. Some schools conduct students rally as well.
