Once there was a boatman named Ramu who lived by the riverside. He was an expert boatman who knew the route to almost any place. Moreover, he was a just person and never charged too much for his services. So, he was much sought after by people when they wanted to cross the river. One day, he had no ferry and so he decided to explore new places. He remembered one passenger telling him about a place nearby that had a lot of beautiful gardens.

Although he forgot the name of the place, Ramu remembered the directions very well. So, he decided to set out on a solitary adventure. He was so lost in imagination about how beautiful the place would be. As a result, he rowed in the opposite direction and reached a lonely island with nobody in sight. Just as the boatman decided to row back, his boat hit a hard rock at the bottom and started sinking. Not knowing what to do, he resigned himself to his fate thinking that he would have to spend the remainder of his life there.

Suddenly, towards the evening of the second day, Ramu heard some human voices. Eagerly, he walked towards the voices. To his surprise, he found that it was a group of teenage boys from his village. They had come there for some fun. Ramu told them everything and how he was stranded there. Luckily, one of the boys knew how to repair a boat with help of branches from a tree. He helped the boatman to set his boat right. Ramu then thanked the boys heartily and rowed towards his home.

Once upon a time, there was a riverside boatman named Ramu. He was a skilled sailor who could navigate to practically any location. He was also a fair individual who never overcharged for his services. As a result, when people needed to cross the river, they turned to him. He was without a ferry one day, so he chose to travel to new destinations. He recalled one of his fellow passengers telling him about a nearby location with many gorgeous gardens. Despite the fact that he had forgotten the location's name, Ramu had a good memory for the directions. As a result, he chose to embark on a solo journey. He was so engrossed in his imagination about how lovely the location would be. As a result, he turned around and rowed in the wrong manner, arriving on a deserted island with no one in sight. The boatman's boat hit a large rock at the bottom and began sinking just as he chose to row back. He surrendered himself to his fate, not knowing what else to do, believing that he'd have to spend the rest of his life there. Ramu suddenly heard several human voices in the afternoon of the second day. He eagerly approached the voices. It turned out to be a group of teenage males from his community, much to his astonishment. They'd gone there to have a good time. Ramu told them everything about his ordeal and how he came to be stranded there. Fortunately, one of the youngsters understood how to fix a boat using tree branches. He assisted the boatman in repositioning his vessel. Ramu thanked the youngsters profusely and rowed back to his house.
