Idioms in Action

Explanation:

One day some relatives arrived at my place, we were out of groceries so my mom asked me to go to the market to buy some groceries at the eleventh hour. I took my phone and went out. As I was on the way two bikers came and snatched away my phone. I was shook. I ran but couldn't keep the pace as it's not a child's play, but I wanted my phone back by hook or crook, so I came back home. I started mumbling and couldn't tell mom about the incidence as the relatives were there too, she asked for the groceries, I cut a sorry figure, she said stop beating around the bush and tell what's the matter, I told her about the incident. We went to the police station to get the FIR filed. Two days later I got my phone back and I was on cloud nine.
