The Vision
Ravindra was a very talented boy. He was an excellent singer and a wonderful musician. In school he was the teachers' apple of the eye.
Nature however had a played a cruel trick on Ravindra. Though he caught everyone's eyes by his spell bounding performance yet Nature had not gifted him the vision in his dark big eyes.
Ravindra grew up with his blindness. Instead of being able to see his ever increasing admirers he had to sense their presence and appreciation.
When he was in College he was asked to perform in front of a group of three Doctors who had come to India on a group study exchange.
Hearing him sing the young doctors were beyond themselves with joy. They ran to embrace him. When they realised his blindness they immediately decided to take Ravindra with them for an eye operation.
Ravindra's parents were a little nervous. They were very humble people who had never left their hometown and here Ravindra would be going abroad so far from them.
The Principal pacified them and assured them all would be well. Soon Ravindra was flown overseas. He had to undergo a very crucial operation. His eyes were fully bandaged.
Finally it was time to open the bandages. The young doctors had meticulously fixed his field of view. They had rectified the three angles of vision.
As Ravindra was asked to slowly open his eyes, his horizontal, vertical and diagonal angles all functioned perfectly to give him a clear vision.
With a thankful and grateful heart Ravindra returned home. His parents could not ask for more. The greatest gift had been showered to them.
The three angles were like three angels, the three Magi who brought Ravi the gift of a clear vision.
