The thief made away the goods. He smirked to himself has he walked past all the security guards, slightly nervous but the adrenaline rush kicked in just in time. As he stepped out of the secured facility, he knew these goods were worth at least a year full of no issues for rent money. He was walking down the street when he heard somebody yell, "hey you, in the grey jacket!". He turned around to see a guard walking up to him. He knew he shouldn't have run because that would only cause suspicion but his blood pumping in his ears was all that he could hear and he ran at the top of his speed. The guard ran after him and he ditched the guard ten minutes later after tackling a smelly alley full of trash cans, climbing up a fence and ending up inside a Plaza hotel's exit stairway. He knew he had to change his look or they would find him soon enough. That's when he thought up heading up to one of the floors. He was walking by some rooms when one room seemed unlocked for cleaning service. He went inside and hung the do not disturb card and locked the door. He was breathing heavily and was quite sweaty now. He looked at a card placed on the dresser on which the words "dinner date at 8.30 " was scribbled down. He sighed in relief because now he knew he had some time on his hands. He made a few calls, one included his buyer. He decided to meet up at the park where they finalized the deal in the first place. He ditched the room after borrowing some clothes from the closet and shaving his beard off. He also gave himself a slight hair cut so he didn't resemble the man the police would be looking for. Its good the guard just got a glimpse and probably not a full description. He was happy for he would reach the safe house soon.
