A crowd of parents were clamoring at the management committee about the unhygienic water in the swimming pool from which several of their kids got sick. Further on they complained about there being no restrictions of picking up flowers from the flower bushes at the entrance of every apartment. Sameer's parents questioned the committee about the irresponsible waste management. They had noticed the pungent odor coming out from the basement, which further on searching was stuffed with garbage bags. They also were angry about the noise pollution late-night parties were causing.
Sameer knew he had to do something. He called his friends for a meeting in his house and they decided they would try their best to eradicate land pollution in the streets and prevent disturbing late-night parties. A few days later the parents noticed a significant change in the apartment surroundings. They were proud of the children for taking a good initiative. A couple of weeks passed by and soon it was Environment day. All the building-residents wore save the Earth shirts, planted seeds, cleaned their environment and reused old items. The kids recited a beautiful nature poem and Sameer and his friends requested everyone to take care of the Earth not only on Environment day but everyday. And since that day everyone did just that!

His neighbours were again fighting over some parking issues. It was a common scene among the residents of that area. No sooner did he reach there when suddenly the land between the neighbours’ buildings started tearing apart. Everyone got frightened. Sameer ran back to his house to find his daughter and wife. They were both ready with their emergency baggage. The family got out of the house and started running as fast as they could, passing the falling trees and buildings. Water was penetrating out of the departing land and everyone was panicking and running in any direction to save their lives when suddenly, Sameer’s daughter fell down. A tree fell over her feet. Sameer was trying to help his crying daughter when they both saw a building falling over them. Sameer hugged his daughter and shouted at the peak of his voice which finally woke him up. With sighs of heavy breathing and excessive sweating, Sameer went to his daughter’s room only to find that everything was fine. He kissed her forehead, went back to his room and wondered; “Phew! This one really took the life out of me”.
