Once open a time, there was a girl named Sita, who lived in the town of Chamba. She was a very beautiful and a shy girl, just like a fairy tale princess. She loved to dress up beautifully and comb her hair. She had many friends and she loved animals like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, green parrots, etc. She was a good student at school as well.

One day, it was a party night at school and she wanted to look very beautiful. So, she made a very beautiful white dress for herself for the special day, which had stars studded all over and she looked like a princes in that dress. She was very excited for the school party. As she was ironing her dress, the dress got burnt and finding the dress burnt, Sita started weeping and was very upset. Her joy and excitement for the party was destroyed. She thought that she could not attend the party then.

Suddenly, somebody knocked the door of her room and it was her mother. Her mother the condition of the dress and told Sita not to worry, as she had already bought a similar white dress form the market. Sita became happy and joyous again and dressed up in the white dress and happily went to the party.

God Helps Those Who Help Others

It was Saturday. Veena got up late as it was her habit. Both of her parents had gone to the office. As she was preparing breakfast, she remembered that she had planned to visit her sick uncle that day. Finishing off her breakfast, she quickly got ready to go. Taking a rickshaw, she went to her uncle’s house. She sat with him for a long time and helped her aunt in doing the household chores. As she sat to have lunch with them, her phone rang. It was her mother, who yelled at her. But Veena could not understand what her mother had been shouting about. The only thing she understood was that her mother was telling her to come home as soon as possible. Veena soon left for home. On reaching, to her honour, she noticed that the house had been burgled. In her hurry, she had left the door unlocked and the thief had an easy job. All their valuables were gone and her mother looked at her as if she would eat her up. Veena had no words to console her. Thankfully, the thief had left some clues and the police were able to nab him within a week. God always does justice with good ones.
