KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Once, a large ship's engine went wrong. The owner of the ship called for experts. One after the other they all failed. No one could figure out what was wrong.
The owner was informed about an old man who lived in the same harbour and was fixing ships since his childhood. He was called.
The old man came with a large bag of tools. He examined the engine for a while. He then grabbed a hammer from his bag and tapped somewhere over the engine. It sprung back to life.
Everyone were surprised. The old man hardly did anything. No one knew that a two or three taps could have brought back the engine.
When asked, the old man stated his price as 1000 $. The owner wasn't happy. He asked the old man as to what he was paying a 1000 $ bill for.
The old man replied,
For tapping - 2 $ and
For KNOWING where to tap - 998 $
Moral : Knowledge is power!
