What should I do if a teacher says something wrong?
Rather than correcting him/her directly you can discuss on the consequences of what the teacher says. If consequences don't fit in, which is obvious, the teacher may reconsider and can correct him/herself.
Else you can tell him/her that there is something else given in the book. (this should be conveyed politely.
