Summary of "The Bishop's Candlestick"

The Bishop's Candlestick is a play written by Norman Mckinnel. The change in the behavior of the convict was due to the Bishop. The convict not again being the wild beast, he stood again to be a man. In his past life, he was brutal and inhuman due to which he stayed in prison. Also, in order to get food, he was not afraid to kill anyone. While he entered the bishop's cottage he threatened him whereas, the bishop was kind and affectionate towards him. The convict melted due to bishop's continuous love and affection. For convict bishop was like a God's representative. The bishop saved the convict from the police and gifted candlesticks to the convict. Therefore, this made the convict believe in the presence of God and humanity in every human being.
