It is a tissue fluid which is involved in transportation
Through the pores present in the capillaries, some amount of plasma, blood cells, proteins escape into the intercellular spaces in the tissues to form lymph.
Lymph is similar to plasma but it is colorless and have less proteins
Lymph drains into the lymphatic capillaries from the intercellular spaces to form large lymph vessels which open into large veins
Lymph carries the digested and absorbed fats from intestine and drains excess fluid back to the blood
