The Bolsheviks formed the Communist Party of Russia after the RSDLP(Russian Socialist Democratic Labour Party) split into the Bolsheviks and Mensheviks. The Bolsheviks were the majority and wanted a restricted no. of members, along with being disciplined. They were led by Lenin. They were ready to use extreme mmeasures to establish a socialist society as quickly as possible.
