Virtual images are always formed by convex concave mirrors when the object is placed in front of Focus. Convex mirrors will always produce an upright image. A concave mirror will only produce an upright image if the object is located in front of the focal point.
Spherical mirror is a mirror with a curved reflecting surface. The surface may be either convex or concave in shape

In both the spherical mirrors that are concave and convex, when the object is placed between the principal focus and the pole, virtual image is formed.
The image is erect, virtual and is highly diminished in case of convex and highly enlarged in case of the concave mirror.
