1) It dilates the pupil.

2) Increases the heart rate, respiratory rate.

3) Induces sweating.

4) Raises the arrector pilli (goose bumps)

5) Decreases salivation, gastric juice secretion, bile production, release of sucus antricus, pancreatic juice releasation.

6) Constriction of peripheral blood vessels but Dialation of blood vessels of internal organs.

7) Releases urinary bladder.

8) Sympathetic nervous system gets activated in emergencies/stress condition and it prepares body to fight, flight and fright.
