It has been observed that child sex ratio is falling alarmingly. The number of girls as compared to boys has decreased. It is due to the fact that many parents in our country prefer a son to a daughter at the time of birth.
The advancement of technology has made it possible to detect the sex of a child before it's birth. And if it is a female child, they indulge in Foeticide. How cruel it is! The parents do not realize that are murderes of a female child. Thought the government has made it illegal, the private hospitals are carrying on with these abortion secretly. The government has enacted a law to stop this malpractice, but the law is inadequate and hardly implemented. The government must stop it in order to save the future of a girl child.

Girls are the most beautiful gift sent upon the earth by God. Having a girl as a child is blessing. Not everyone is blessed, some are by fortune and some because of their foolishness. It can be said foolishness and cruelty of people that they are not accepting this most precious gift.
Female foeticide has become one of the biggest issue in the country. People think girls as burden because of the social evil of dowry which is given at the time of marriage. And to avoid them, they kill them before birth.
How can they be so cruel! How can they kill their own child.Leave own! Even a child!
Due to the advancement in technology, they take on various techniques and learn the sex of their would be child and when it is a girl, they kill them.
But thanks to the government policies, female foeticide is going down. But what now is happening? People are still considering them burdens.
It would be impossible to believe for you but still in 21st century, people sell their daughters just at the rate of ₹200-300 . Are these valuable gift from God of such a small value?
At last, I would like to say that not only stop female foeticide but also stop discriminating between them. Give them the love they need. Why aren't people eradicating social evil of dowry which is the root of female foeticide. Instead they are eradicating girls. Such a small thinking. Let's widen our thinking and pledge not to anyone but to ourselves that we will give equal rights to our sisters and daughters.
