Good Morning everyone!! Very special thanks to Principal Sir, guests and my friends. As you all know that today is Children’s Day and we have gathered here to celebrate it. But, before we move on to the celebrations, I would like to present a small speech on Children’s Day just to set up the mood.

Children’s Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India and a great freedom fighter and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. He was a politically active member of the Indian National Congress also serving twice as its President.

He also shared an affectionate relationship with the children and was referred to as “Chacha (Uncle) Nehru. For this very reason his birthday on 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day and dedicated to the cause of child welfare.

Good morning to the respected principal, teacher, parents, Chief guest, and my dear lovely friend. Today we are all gathered here to celebrate children day. So now I would like delivered a few speech about children day. Children Day is celebrated in school and college on 14 November all over India. 14 th November is the birth anniversary of pt. jawaharlal Nehru. He was born on 14 th November 1889 in Allahabad in uttarpardesh. His father name was Motilal nehru and his Mother name was swarup rani Nehru. He got married to Kamala Nehru. His only daughter Indira Gandhi who was also the prime ministers of India.

He got his early education at home and later he went to England for higher studies. Then he returned India and became a lawyer. He joined the freedom movement in India with Mahatma Gandhi and later he was successful before became the first Prime Minister of India. He loved too much to children and children also loved to him. So children called him chacha Nehru. According to him children are the bright future of our country. Children are the building blocks of strong nation .They had capability to change the nation positively. Children day celebrated in India since 1964. Or. jawaharlal Nehru died in 27 may 1964 in New Delhi.
