Indeed "Empowering the girl child is best way to empower the nation"
girls and women were respected during the vedic period. It was only after the arrival of invaders from other countries that our Vedic believes gave way to new traditions. During the Mughal era and the Islamic Period women were restricted to their homes and not allowed to go out and participate in political discussions or any such activitites. That was the downfall of woman. Since then women have lost their former glory and even though people have learnt to respect women with the changing times yet, we still hear of cases of female foeticide, child-marriage tc. which showcase the narrowmindedness of the people
But unlike men, women are not selfish. It is said that if we educate a girl, a whole society is educated because she believes in sharing knowledge with others and not keeping it to herself. Women have contributed to the Nation's progress in many ways. They have excelled in the fields of science, sports, music, martial arts and what not! They live up to their ideals and leave a mark on wherever they tread...Some notable women are: geeta and Babita phogat, Sunita williams, Saina Nehwal and many more....
We must salute the main forces behinf us i.e. is the women, they constantly work for our welfare. They manage both their personal lives, household chores and career. They are extremely efficient in their work and can even beat men in the most difficult tasks you could probably think of...
A nation can progress when both men and women get the opportunity to express themselves and share their ideas with others...So isn't empowering the girl child one of the best ways to empower the nation..??
Just think friends...We encounter with many a women in our lives, who are indeed what we call "Phenomenal women" They deserve to be noticed and appreciated...SO WHY NOT TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK ALL THE GIRL-STARS OF OUR LIVES, WHO HAVE REALLY INFLUENCED US A LOT...IT COULD BE YOUR MOTHER,YOUR SISTER OR YOUR FRIEND...
