Answer:

Good Morning respected principal, guest and dear friends. The topic of my speech is punctuality. Punctuality is the habit of doing things promptly at the proper time. In most enterprises, punctuality is the key to success. A student, for instance, who comes late for an examination may not be able to write that examination at all. Failure and the loss of a year may be the result. A business who is late for an important conference risks the danger of missing an opportunity to expand his business or to secure highly profitable business orders or contracts.

A farmer who fails to sow his field at the right time cannot hope to have a good crop. And if he fails to reap the field in time, he may suffer the loss of even the smallest crop he has. Being punctual is not a burden. When we begin and finish our Work punctually we feel great mental satisfaction. We also get plenty of time to relax, or to play, or to enjoy leisurely activities. Punctuality benefits not only the individual concerned, but also other members of society. On the other hand, lack of punctuality on the part of a single individual may cause much harm to many other people. If the rulers or the military commanders of a country fail to take precautionary defensive measure in time, that country runs the risk of being attacked and subjugated or humiliated by a more alert enemy country. It is imperative that children should be trained in punctuality so that they may acquire this very important virtue at an early age. This is necessary for them and for the society as a whole.

Thank you.

Answer:

good morning everyone....now i am going to speak about punctuality.

Punctuality is the characteristic of being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation before or at a previously designated time.[1] "Punctual" is often used synonymously with "on time". It is also acceptable that punctual can also, be related to be talking about grammar, means "to be accurate".[citation needed]

An opposite personality trait is tardiness.

According to each culture, there is often an understanding about what is considered an acceptable degree of punctuality.[2] Usually, a small amount of lateness is acceptable; this is commonly about ten or fifteen minutes in Western cultures, but this is not the case in such instances as doctor's appointments or school lessons.[3] In some cultures, such as Japanese society, and settings, such as military ones, expectations may be much stricter.[citation needed]

Some cultures have an unspoken understanding that actual deadlines are different from stated deadlines, for example with Africa time. For example, it may be understood in a particular culture that people will turn up an hour later than advertised.[4] In this case, since everyone understands that a 9 pm party will actually start at around 10 pm, no-one is inconvenienced when everyone arrives at 10 pm.[5]

In cultures that value punctuality, being late is seen as disrespectful of others' time and may be considered insulting. In such cases, punctuality may be enforced by social penalties, for example by excluding low-status latecomers from meetings entirely. Such considerations can lead on to considering the value of punctuality in econometrics and to considering the effects of non-punctuality on others in queueing theory.

hope it helps u dear
