Answer:Every year in our country 26th January is observed as Republic day to pay respect and honor to the Indian constitution which came into force on this day in 1950. The govt. of India declares 26th January as a national holiday. It is a significant day in Indian history because this day reminds us of the struggles and sacrifices of our freedom fighters. After a long battle against the British rules our country India was declared as a secular, socialist, sovereign and democratic nation and on 26th January we have got our own constitution in the country. Nationally Republic Day is celebrated in New Delhi (in front of India Gate) in the presence of President of India.
