Cleanliness is a habit that is an essential part of everyone’s life. I hope that our efforts in the cleaning and maintaining of our school premises are a small step in keeping our society clean. For a better and cleaner India the government of India began the Clean India Campaign.

We know this campaign by the name of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. The campaign makes people aware of cleanliness. So that, they can start observing cleanliness in his/her surroundings and also encourage others to do the same.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan became the catchphrase for all. It is one of the most awarded projects that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi that is 2nd October.

He made an official announcement of this special campaign in the year 2014. Furthermore, it is one of a kind campaign that drew the attention of millions of people and got its recognition at the national level.

The main aim that drives this campaign was to make every region of India open defecation free. Whether it lies in the rural or urban area. Moreover, the main aim is to encourage the habit of cleanliness and upkeep of hygiene at all public and private places.

Whether its road, streets, offices, homes, or public infrastructure across the country. Moreover, the best side of this campaign is to lay stress on cleanliness and the building of public toilets in all schools, colleges, along with public places.

One of the blunt alterations that I am sure that everyone understands is the level of cleanliness between India and other western nations. Now I have a question, do you not wonder at times why their cities remain so sparkling clean and well-maintained?

The answer will be ‘yes’, of course, we need to learn a lot from them and embark on the same path. If we want our country to be counted among the developed nation of the world.

It is one of the biggest cleanliness and sanitation campaigns that the government is running on a national scale. In addition, over 3 million public personnel, including school, and college students become a part of this campaign.

The primary objective of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is to clean our country’s 4041 towns and cities. For which, a whopping budget of 1.96 lakh crores that is nearly equal to around 31 billion dollars.

Moreover, the campaign covers all the sectors and also it has influenced even the film industry. The Indian film entertainment industry has begun to take this project seriously. In addition, they started making a project related to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan like the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”.

However, the movie can be inferred from the title, suggests the problems that women living in rural regions of India face on a daily basis. These women do not have a choice but to defecate in the open. Also, the captivating situations of building more toilets in the rural regions of India.

This campaign of cleanliness is not only gaining momentum among the people. But also bringing in a sweeping change in our society for good.

To sum it up, the clean India campaign has gain momentum. In addition, it is rapidly taking the country towards clean and healthy tomorrow. Also, the people are now contributing towards the goal of keeping the country clean and well-maintained.
