YOUR GOOD DEEDS MIGHT SEEM INVISIBLE, BUT THEY LEAVE A TRAIL THAT IS IMPRINTED ON HEART OF OTHERS.
Honorable Principal Sir, Worthy teachers and all my dear friends. Today I stand Before you to express my views on the topic " Importance of Good Deeds In Life. "
In today's era, everyone is so much busy in their world, that they ignore all the bad things happening and don't stand against anything wrong that happens in front of them.
But, whether you call it random act of kindness or good deeds, they are really much powerful. This is the reason that every religion in the world promotes helping each other in every kind of odd situations.
When you perform any good action, of course you are helping someone in a either way.
Besides helping someone, good deeds also makes you feel satisfied. Helping others gives you new perspective and keeps you from focusing from your problems. Helping others make you forget your problems and also, there are possibilities that one whom you are helping, also help you in turn.
In the movie, Good Deeds, Wesley Deeds meets someone from outside his socioeconomic level, and gets a whole new perspective in life. When we help others, we expand the number of our contacts, and hopefully get to know how people from different walks of life live. Our worldview is expanded, and our perspective changes.
When you perform a good deed, someone is there who notices you. You may also develop reputation for you in mind of those people too. You will naturally become more caring, giving, sharing and a Honorable person.
Now I would like to end my speech with a very famous Gurbani about good deeds :
Make good deeds the soil, and let the Word of the Shabad be the seed; irrigate it continually with the water of Truth.
Become such a farmer, and faith will sprout. This brings knowledge of heaven and hell!
THANK YOU!!

Here are few that I think everyone should posses.
1. It's never too late for an apology. Sometimes, even when you're not wrong and the person is worth holding on to, then it's better to bend than break. Relationships are very delicate and a small issue can ruin it. Hold on to it tightly if you feel it's worth it, even when you know you're not wrong. But also know when to stop and not over do it. Then you're just being taken for granted.
2. If you have made plans with someone, never back out. Specially in the last moment. If you absolutely have to, NEVER do it over text/SMS.
3. A handshake with a smile beats any other forms of greeting. Of course, hugs are better. But know when to give a handshake or a hug. Few people can be really uncomfortable with a hug.
4. Never use your phone/laptop when with friends or on a date. It's rude. How would you feel that the person you're on a date with, spends more time on their phone than with you?
5. Spend time with your family on your birthday. You spend every second day with your friends, and on that special day, it's better to spend time with family. That day is special for them too. Specially for your mom :)
6. Give credit when it's due.
7. When talking with someone, always look them in the eye. It's rude when someone is talking to you or listening to you while you're staring at the hot girl passing by. Unless, of course, your friend or the person you're talking to is staring at the hot girl too. ;)
. In reference to the above point, don't stare at people. It's uncomfortable and annoying. I know this because I am a guy with long hair and I hate it when people stare at me.
9. Listen. Don't always talk. People don't like talkers who don't let others talk. Sometimes, it's good to listen.
10. Never interrupt when someone is talking. How hard is that?
11. You don't always have to speak. Sometimes being quiet also helps and in fact, can be a better option in some cases.
"Speak only if it improves upon the silence." - Mahatma Gandhi
12. Thank your waiter. Or your delivery person. Or anyone who provided you a service of some kind. Some people think that because you're paying the person who is providing you a service, you don't need to thank them. Its true, you don't NEED to. But it's always nice to. It brings a smile to their face.
13. Always smell good. I personally don't like people who smell bad and would avoid hanging out with them.
14. First impressions last. Make the most out of it.
15. Be patient with your parents. As we grow old, we tend to forget that even they are growing old.
16. You're not a loner or creep if you go out for lunch/movies by yourself. Sometimes, its fun. On the bright side, you don't have to share your popcorn or nachos with the person sitting beside you.
17. Cinemas are not hotels. Know the difference. ;)
18. Always wait for the caller to hang up the phone.
19. If you're a parent with a child, please do not bring your young ones to the movies. Get a babysitter. If you do bring them to the theater and they start to cry, please take them out of the theater so that you don't disturb anyone else.
20. Hold doors for the person behind you. Even if the person is a stranger. But know when to and when not to
21. When someone holds the door for you, thank them. Always.
22. Don't beg for sympathies.
23. Don't be offended by criticism. Take it seriously, not personally.
24. Don't be rude when talking with someone.
