In today’s times, online education has become the new normal. Given the number of schools and colleges that have taken to online teaching, it is obvious that virtual classes are currently the best way to ensure continuity of studies. It effectively reduces precious study time lost and does not require students to get together in one geographical location. While students can learn in the comfort of their own homes, teachers may have a difficult time keeping the learners attentive throughout the class. It is equally challenging for the teacher to pay attention to each student individually. However, ways may be devised to overcome the shortcomings of this method, to ensure academic progress despite the global lock down.
Merits of online teaching:
- A great opportunity of learning is represented by this kind of education. We can also continue more than one course in same time.
- Online education saves our time, we do not have to go anywhere to do the class. People can find times for hobbies and finding job besides this.
Demerits:
- In this kind of teaching, people feel lack of flexibility. They cannot clear all sort of doubts in this. The trainers do not provide enough input.
- There is not face to face interaction between student and teacher, this is also a huge problem.
