Tough times are always said to be our hard or heart broken things in our life ..it make us to over come our inner feelings and focus in our goal...as such some may be heart broken while they miss smtg..and feel depressed so that they can't travel towards there success or complete there goals...as such tough times are nature all human have that in their day to day lifes so..we have to learn how to overcome that and to make a successful in life or career ..etc..example the way you go in road there may be some rock that may slip u down but u have to learn how to jump through that way .......
