A warm morning to everyone present over here. Reverence Director sir , respected principal ma'am , all worthy teachers and my dear friends . I , XYZ , from class __ find it in my pleasure to speak on the topic Water as a source of life and inspiration on the occasion of World water day .
" Water , Water everywhere , but not a single drop to drink." Seems like this quotation is making itself emerge true looking at the present scenario . Being blue planet with three- fourth of its surface covered with water , the problem of water scarcity is no wonder . The water from ground is depleting , rivers are drying , seas are made smaller by building buildings over them to settle the growing population . What once was a blue planet is now turning into an scorched land .
Water forms the basis of life . A person's body is made up of 70% water and for the normal functioning of it , this demand should be maintained . The protoplasm of our cells is mostly made of water . According to studies , the lack of water in body result in failure of the body organs leading to serious issues and eventually may be fatal . Water is not only needed by humans for their daily chores like cooking , bathing , etc but also by animals and plants .
Water is a huge source of inspiration too . It teaches human to be never afraid of the things in your way . Never let the others decide your way , make it by your own . Water teaches to give life , take away the sufferings of the people . Nature is a school and water is one of its teacher .
This bliss should be conserved so that our future generation should get it as a gift from nature rather than a service . Remember "We have not inherited this earth from our forefathers but borrowed from our children".
So at last , I would like to conclude my words that the present generation should make use of this silver liquid judiciously without wasting it . More and more trees should be planted , so that the the amount of rainfall increases eventually bringing water table to normal . Thank you and have a very nice day ahead .

man mainly has 3 basic needs: food, water and clothing
about 65% of our bodies are filled with water
water is essential as it quenches our thirst and helps in the efficient functioning of our body
without water it is likely that man will not survive
so it is very convincing that water is a source of life
as for inspiration water plays many roles..
water is shapeless in nature telling us to be adjustable with life's tasks
water keeps flowing even when there are pebbles or stones on its way:
it never stops... this means that we should never run away from difficult situations but face them
we should keep progressing higher and higher till we reach our goal
i would like to conclude by saying
when there was water
did we ever bother???
when we had a chance
did we ever glance
let us save water and live better...
