It was a Saturday night and my dog was barking. I tried hushing it, but it wouldn’t stop. There was something uncanny about the weather that night. The wind was really strong. I tried opening my window, but the wind would not let me and the window shut itself every time. I finally gave up, turned my bed lamp off and tried to ignore my dog and go to sleep. Just before I tucked myself in, I heard something. It was quite a peculiar sound. It sounded like shrilled screaming of a baby. That was weird, because there was no baby in my locality. None that I knew about at least. I got out of my bed. My dog had stopped barking. The kid stopped screeching. And the wind had stopped howling. I had just gotten out of my room when I heard the sound again. *cling* an other sound. I figured that the sound was. Coming from the kitchen. Shivering, I picked up my lantern and walked towards the kitchen. I saw a shadow of something moving. Afraid, I turned the light on, only to find a kitten who apparently spilled all of the milk on the floor. No wonder my dog was barking. The weather must have frightened the poor creature. It looked cute. I decided to keep it. My dog was not very pleased though.
