The twins Sonu and Monu were eagerly waiting for their sisters Rita and Gita to come home. It was Raksha Bandhan and the sisters tied rakhis on their brothers’ hands this year. It was a yearly ritual that had not been missed out on for the past 15 years. Every year this time, they would be home near their brothers by noon. This year, it was evening and they had not yet arrived. When they did not turn up even at night, the brothers were quite disappointed and upset.

It was then the sisters suddenly rang up their brothers and spoke to them. This cheered them up a little bit. Their sisters had married last year and were now staying a little far away from home. So, they could not come home although they missed their brothers as well. Hence, they had sent Sonu and Monu a rakhi each by post that got delivered only two days later!
