This occurred with me in 2015, when I was visiting my companions in Delhi.
I was with him, going around Delhi on the Metro to check the sights and hints of the city.
I had never visited the city however as the noteworthy capital of India, there was a lot to see from the Jamia Mosque to the Qutub Minar.
