It was a dark and stormy night... As always in the evenings I was watching horror movies and eating my favourite chocolate. Unfortunately I forgot to close the front door, so I went to do that. Then I heard some strange noise. It was probably comming from the attic. At first I thought my two cats were chasing after mice because they often do things like that, but they were in the kitchen. I didn`t know what to do. I was alone in home, my parents were in work. I decided to take something heavy and check this. I took a broom and slowly began to move towards the attic. Stairs creaked terribly, what drove me goosebumps. I was scared because I didn't know what to expect. Wind? Burglar? Or maybe it was only my imagination? With each step I was more and more afraid. I told myself that it's only my imagination, nothing terrible. I opened the door. Lights were out but the moon was shining so I could see what is inside... And? There was nothing... Not even a mouse. Scared, but with a smile on my face I decided to return to the room. Suddenly from behind an old boxes flew few bats. I almost had heart attack. I've never seen those little flying creature before. I sat on chair and started to laugh and cry at the same time. That was the last time when I watched horror movies alone in home.
