Mary struggled as the waves of water carried her far away from Ramond. She was gasping for air and fighting the current as much as possible just for the one gulp of air to be able to rise a little and be able to see where she drifted away with the current. She knew that she could swim and yet she was struggling so much, but what about Ramond was all she could think of. As she struggled to get a clear sighting she felt some one yell out from behind her. She turned to see that Ramond was okay and he was calling out to her to head over to her. She saw that he was clever enough to use their suitcase as a way of balancing in the water, that was probably what led him to be able to breathe properly in this current. She tried really hard to swim the length to go to her husband. He too made efforts and finally they reached the tossed up boat. They had decided to take a boat ride thats when their boat tipped over, they didnt know how it happened, but they didnt plan on staying in the water to figure out the cause. Thankgod the shore was nearby and they made their way to the shore gradually. Mary could swear that it was something that tipped them over but she was too frightened to revisit the water to settle her curiosity. This idea of crossing the river to take a short cut for the lake house was a bad one she realized.
