It was the first week of monsoon season. People of Dholakpur were enjoying the rain . Some of them enjoyed it by eating hot pakodas and tea while some of them visited the river for enjoying the rain water.
The water level of the village dam was rising at an alarming rate. But the people didn't notice it. No body knew that, a danger is on the way towards the village. The dam's wall already had a crack, but due to the pressure exerted by the water the wall broke down. All the water flowed into the village.
The happy and cheerful villagers were now frightened and aggitated. The village was destroyed. The condition of the village was miserable. The sorrowful cries of the humans, animals as well as birds could be heared. All the villagers were searching for their lost ones.
Two days past, but the government didn't provide any relief. The rescuers
still didn't reached the village. The villagers suffered a lot. Govind was one of the worst sufferers. He lost his family. While he was finding a safe place for his survival, he spotted a puppy stuck under the rock. He quickly went and saved the puppy. Govind was just 14 years old but his generous behavior stated that he had a heart of gold.
The puppy and Govind became good friends.He named the puppy as - Chibi. The Chibi is now a strong dog. Govind and Chibi were saved by the rescuers which reached the village after 5 days the incident took place.
Govind now lives in Nainital. He along with Chibi handle a tourist company and live peacefully and happily there. Whenever Govind thinks of his family he feels sad but after remembering about Chibi, he feels that someone for him is still present in this world.
Moral : There are always difficult phases in our life, we should always face them and fight against it.
Flood is a natural phenomena in which the water level exceeds and it submerge the materials in it.
