Once there were two teams from rival schools gathered at a ground to play a match of hockey. The stands were jam packed to see their favorite players play. The atmosphere was exceedingly electric.
As the teams entered the ground, shouts of exhilaration and cheers from their respective supporters emanated from the stands. The teams lined up in the middle of the ground. There was toss; the host school won the toss and decided to attack.
The referee blew to whistle; the match was about to begin; the two captains looked tense. Suddenly the ground began to shake violently, tall structures around the ground began to crumble; scrams of panic could be heard everywhere. The stands shook violently, there was chaos and commotion.
The stands collapsed too; many students got buried under the rubble. The players standing in the middle immediately rushed to rescue students trapped under the rubble. They forgot they were rivals. Their only motive was to save as many lives as was possible.
Soon the Rapid Action Teams arrived. The metal roof was lifted with the crane. Ambulances reached the ground. Injured students were rendered first-aid. More critically injured ones were rushed to the hospital.
No one knew, that day of the match would turn out to be an unforgettable catastrophe.
The Football Match
It was a bright Sunday. When Rahul 's school had organized a football match. Raul was a student of class 10th. The school had organized the match between teams. One team was from class 10 and the other team was from class 9. The match was held in the school's football field. The referee was Rahul 's Physical Education teacher Mr. Kishan. Rahul was the captain for 10th graders and Prashanth was the captain for the 9th graders.
The match was about to begin. Both the captains where very tensed. Mr Kishan blew the whistle and the match began. There was a big competition between both the teams. Both the teams where very strong. Suddenly, Prashanth got injured while running for the ball. The ninth graders where very scared they feared how they will win without their captain. Rahul 's team had scored one goal. The ninth graders did not loose hope they collaborated together and was able to score one goal. It was half time by then. The ninth graders went to meet their captain Prashant. They told him how the match had gone and how much they are struggling without a captain. Prashant guided them to play as one team and to work together to win the match. Rahul had also motivated his team to be self confident and play well.
Half time was over by then. Mr. Kishan blew the whistle and the match began again. For the first 20 mins after half time there were absolutely no goals. Both the teams where playing extremely well and giving their best. The 9th graders seemed to have a strong will to win and wanted to show that they could win even without a captain. One boy from the ninth graders scored a goal in the final minute of the match. Mr. Kishan blew the final whistle to end the match. The ninth graders had won the match 2 - 1.
Prashant was very very happy for his teams victory. He understood that that his team took his advice seriously and was able to achieve this huge victory even without a captain. The principal of the school congratulated Prashant and awarded his team with a big trophy for their achievement.
Moral of the story: If you work and collaborate together as a team you can achieve big things no matter how hard they are.
