Story

Explanation:

The Last train had left and I had to wait for the next train which was due after ten hours at 6 in the morning and wayside station mere halt wore a deserted look.

I knew that I had lost some ground while chasing Carlos 'The Jackal'.Carlos was nick named  'The Jackal' due to his cunning. He was also the most dangerous assassin in the world. I had studied his killings for over a decade.

The CIA had sent me on a mission to track him. However, the assignment had proved almost futile. I would get a glimpse of him and the next moment he was gone.

He had evaded capture for more than a decade. I knew it was my destiny to capture my nemesis. He could run but he could not hide. I knew that he was headed to a hideout in Manchester but I was unsure of the exact location.

Story-completion

Explanation:

  • The Last train which I was supposed to take had left before I reached the station. Since it was an emergency, I had to wait for the next train at the station only. After some interrogation I got to know that the next train was due after ten hours at 6 in the morning.
  • The wayside station which is mere a halt station wore a deserted look and I could see no other passenger except for some local vendors who were just wrapping up their small shops. The station began to haunt me and my threat was doubled when i saw two strange-looking men coming towards me. I began to think what they were up to, what did they want from me, etc. One of them asked me where would I go and if he could help.
  • I began to walk without saying anything and they started following me. Now, I got more terrified thinking about their intentions but then suddenly, I saw the station master coming with his staff which came as a relief to me.
  • I went running to him and described my whole story. He thankfully understood my situation and let me wait in his office till morning. I had a sigh of relief and wait there till morning and took the train and reached my place finally but still whenever I recall that terrifying night, it gives me goosebumps.
